San Francisco-based digital health incubator Health2047 teamed up with Summit, N.J.-based biopharmaceutical company Celgene Corp. Sept. 26 to develop a secure and connected healthcare information transfer system.
Under the agreement, Health2047 will work to develop a data transfer protocol to improve secure data sharing between patients, physicians and hospital systems.
"Collaboration across technology and healthcare is critical to creating the solutions we need to improve care and outcomes for people," said James L. Madara, MD, CEO and executive vice president of the American Medical Association, which works closely with Health2047. "It's clear that we have big system-level problems to fix, and none of us can do it alone."
