5 most interesting health IT partnerships this week

Hospitals and health systems teamed up with health IT companies, startups and telehealth organizations this week to develop new initiatives, technologies and innovative projects.

Here are five of the most interesting health IT partnerships, collaborations and acquisitions reported by Becker's Hospital Review this week.

1. The Miami Cancer Institute at Baptist Health South Florida entered into a multiyear agreement with healthcare analytics startup Cota.

2. DAS Health, a provider of health IT and management solutions, acquired Las Vegas-based Integra I.T. Solutions, an eMDs EHR reseller and IT service provider, focusing on medical software, medical billing and IT managed services.

3. Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System entered into a multiyear agreement to deploy the Health Catalyst Data Operating System across its facilities.

4. InTouch Health, which offers an enterprise telehealth platform, acquired TruClinic Jan. 4, signalling its entrance into the direct-to-consumer telehealth business.

5. A group of community leaders, rural advocates and innovators teamed up to form Connect Americans Now, a coalition that seeks to eliminate the digital divide in the country by 2022.
