Numerous healthcare organizations recently received donations to fund research, advance treatments, improve patient care or start renovations.

Here are five recent donations, pledges or bequests given to healthcare organizations by various entities reported by Becker's Hospital Review in the past two weeks, beginning with the most recent.

1. Tidelands Health receives record-breaking donation
Georgetown, S.C.-based Tidelands Health received the largest donation from private individuals in its history — a $1 million gift from a Washington state couple.
