Warner Thomas. President and CEO of Ochsner Health System (New Orleans). Mr. Thomas joined Ochsner Health System in 1998 and served as president and COO for 14 before being named president and CEO in 2012. He was instrumental in guiding the system’s growth following Hurricane Katrina, which included acquiring seven hospitals and forming strategic partnerships with 16 others in the region. In 2014, he was appointed to the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission to advise Congress on issues affecting Medicare. Mr. Thomas has also served as chairman of the American Hospital Association Section for Health Systems Governing Council and is a past member of the board of the American Medical Group Association and the Association of American Medical Colleges Advisory Panel for Health Care and the Council of Teaching Hospitals.
