Virginia Regulators Prefer Prince William’s Proposed Hospital Over Sentara’s

In the first step of Virginia’s approval process, a local board endorsed a proposed new hospital by Prince William Health System and rejected plans for a nearby hospital by Sentara Healthcare, according to a report by the News & Messenger.

A statewide board will make a final decision on the proposals in August.

The local board preferred Prince William’s plan because it had a better location, was less costly and fits better into the system already in place.
