UnitedHealthcare launches hearing business: 4 things to know

UnitedHealthcare, the insurance arm of UnitedHealth Group, rolled out a hearing business called UnitedHealthcare Hearing June 27.

Four things to know:

1. UnitedHealthcare Hearing is available to all consumers, including its health plan members.

2. The company said its hearing business will provide hearing aid access at prices up to 80 percent less than other device sellers.

3. UnitedHealthcare Hearing joins the country’s largest provider of hearing health benefits, EPIC Hearing Healthcare, and home-delivery healthcare company Hi HealthInnovations for the business line.

4. By working with EPIC Hearing Healthcare, employers can include a network of more than 5,000 audiologists and hearing health professionals in their benefit plans.
