Union Hospital (Dover, Ohio). Union Hospital is an independent community hospital with more than 800 employees and more than 300 providers on its medical staff. It was founded more than 100 years ago about 45 miles south of Akron, Ohio. The hospital earned the Patient Safety Excellence Award and the Women’s Health Excellence Award in 2013 and 2014 from Healthgrades, and Truven Health Analytics named it as one of the 100 Top Hospitals in the nation in 2014.
