Kentucky’s Medicaid work requirements are set to take effect April 1. A federal judge has already once struck down Republican Gov. Matt Bevin’s proposed overhaul of Kentucky’s Medicaid program. U.S. District Court Judge James E. Boasberg is again questioning if the newest plan fulfills Medicaid’s goal to provide medical care to eligible Americans.
While the governor’s office and Trump administration officials said any problems in the previous version have been resolved, opponents and healthcare advocates say thousands could lose health coverage under the proposal.
