Trios hospitals join Group Health Access network

After a four-year hiatus, two Trios Health hospitals in Kennewick, Wash., are back in-network for Group Health Access PPO patients, reports Tri-City Herald.

Southridge Hospital and Trio’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital began accepting Group Health policyholders at in-network rates on Aug. 1. Trios Medical Group is already in-network for Group Health policyholders, according to the article.

The health system said it was dropped from the insurer’s preferred network against its will in 2012, according to a prepared statement from hospital officials.

The network change affects about 11,000 patients.
