Tom Buchholz, MD. Executive Vice President and Physician-in-Chief of University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston). Dr. Buchholz serves as executive vice president and physician-in-chief of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, which has been ranked as one of the top two hospitals in cancer care every year since U.S. News & World Report began conducting its annual “America’s Best Hospitals” survey in 1990. In his roles, Dr. Buchholz is responsible for managing all clinical faculty and operations for the hospital and ambulatory clinics. Along with his leadership roles, Dr. Buchholz mentors young physicians and trainees in clinical care and research. His specific research interests include clinical and translational research in breast cancer and radiation oncology.
