Timothy Babineau, MD. President and CEO of Lifespan (Providence, R.I.). Dr. Babineau served as president and CEO of Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital, both in Providence, before being appointed president and CEO of Lifespan. He has held professorships in surgery at the Boston University School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School in Cambridge and the Baltimore-based University of Maryland, where he was senior vice president and CMO of the medical center. Dr. Babineau is the editor of the Journal of Surgical Innovation and Research and received the America’s Top Surgeon Award from Consumer Reports and the Consumers Research Council, to name a few honors.
