Texas’ Scott & White Converting Facility Into Children’s Hospital

Scott & White Healthcare in Temple, Texas, will spend $32 million to convert 150-bed King’s Daughters Hospital to a regional children’s hospital, according to a Scott & White release.

The project would begin in September, take 9-12 months to complete and create the only freestanding children’s hospital between Austin and Dallas.

The converted hospital will have 48 private inpatient rooms, 16 ICU rooms, renovated ORs, a 12-bed ED and a pediatric residency program.
