Texas Hospital Acquires Surgery Center

San Angelo (Texas) Community Medical Center (SACMC) has acquired San Angelo Ambulatory Surgery Center, a freestanding facility located near the hospital’s campus, according to a news release from SACMC.

The ASC, which is expected to offer a variety of outpatient surgical procedures including gastroenterology, gynecology, urology and orthopedics, will be renamed Community Surgery Center.

"Community Surgery Center will offer a convenient location for patients to access outpatient surgical procedures," said Brad Holland, SACMC CEO, in the news release. "We are pleased to bring this investment in outpatient surgery into the continuum of high quality services already provided by our hospital. Our plan is to offer a first class, customer-oriented day surgery experience."
