Shane Miller, MD, and Philip Wilson, MD, are the physicians at the new center, and a third physician will start in the coming weeks, according to the report. As one third of childhood injuries are a result of athletics, the physicians at the Sports Medical Center designed the facility as a place to treat this population that is separate from adult patients, like at other centers, and infants treated at Children’s Medical Center.
The center includes technology such as Dartfish, which allows patients to visually track their progress through overlays of previous runs, and Biodex, which provides muscular strength readings, according to the report.
