The contract allows BCBSTX policyholders to access Tenet’s hospitals, physicians and outpatient facilities at in-network rates. It also adds Tenet’s El Paso, Texas-based The Hospitals of Providence Transmountain Campus to the payer’s network.
“We are pleased to reach an early renewal on this important contract and avoid any disruption to the high-quality care that patients with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas health insurance expect from our providers,” Clint Hailey, chief managed care officer for Tenet, said in a statement.
