St. Joseph’s Hospital and Health Center (Syracuse, N.Y.). St. Joseph’s started as a 15-bed hospital and has grown into a 431-bed hospital with many outpatient and inpatient programs, satellites and affiliated organizations. It has earned Magnet recognition for nursing excellence and was one of the first 30 hospitals in the nation to achieve ISO 90001 certification for its quality management program. Additionally, Healthgrades gave St. Joseph’s the America’s 50 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Surgery Award, the America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention Award and the Joint Replacement Excellence Award this year.
