St. Charles Medical Center-Bend (Ore.). With roots dating back to 1918, St. Charles Medical Center-Bend opened in its current location in 1975. The hospital, part of St. Charles Health System, is designated a Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement and was recognized as one of America’s best hospitals for orthopedic surgery by Healthgrades for the past two years. St. Charles Medical Center-Bend was also acknowledged as high-performing for hip and knee replacement by U.S. News & World Report in its common care ratings this year.
