Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois told My Journal Courier that the surgery center incorrectly issued a termination notice for the Blue Choice network and issued misleading messages to members.

Springfield Clinic claims that PPO plans were terminated by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois without consulting the provider.

Ambulatory surgery and endoscopy center procedures will be out of network Aug. 19, while other procedures will shift out of network Nov. 17.

The clinic doesn’t anticipate a resolution, according to its website, which will render it completely out of network come November.
