Senate Resolution Calls Rural Hospitals “Essential” to Rural Communities

Sens. Sens. Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) and Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) have introduced a resolution in the U.S. Senate calling the role of rural hospitals “essential to the survival and success of communities,” according to an AHA News Now report.

The resolution lauds rural hospitals for the “vital care” they provide and employment opportunities for rural communities, according to the report.

The American Hospital Association supports the resolution.
