Rhode Island hospitals treat teenagers after shooting

Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children’s Hospital, both in Providence, treated two teenagers after a shooting April 15 in Pawtucket, R.I., according to a Providence Journal report.

One of the teenagers, a 17-year-old male, was shot in the left leg during the incident, which occurred about 1 a.m. He was subsequently treated at Hasbro and released, police said, according to the report.

Police said the other teenager, a 19-year-old male, was treated at RIH for minor scrapes that occurred as he tried to escape the shooting and then released.

Hasbro is a division of Rhode Island Hospital, part of Providence-based Lifespan.
