Rady Children’s Hospital (San Diego). Rady Children’s Hospital includes orthopedic specialists who treat the full range of pediatric orthopedic disorders and conditions, including traumatic injuries. Although the hospital treats various orthopedic disorders and conditions, its Orthopedics & Scoliosis Center focuses on the unique musculoskeletal needs of growing children and adolescents. Among the center’s achievements are being a leader in spinal growth tethering surgery, a new procedure to correct scoliosis, the first in the nation to implant magnetic growing rods in scoliosis patients, and the first pediatric program/hospital in the nation to install a groundbreaking orthopedic imaging system called EOS. U.S. News & World Report ranked Rady Children’s Hospital as the second best program for pediatric orthopedics in the country for 2015-16.
