Priority Health, McLaren partner to expand healthcare access in Michigan

Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Priority Health and Flint, Mich.-based McLaren Health Care have agreed to add McLaren hospitals and physicians to the Priority Health network.

Priority Health network will now include McLaren hospitals located in Lansing, Bay City, Lapeer and Flint and nearly 1,000 additional physicians from McLaren. Under the agreement, Priority Health customers with health maintenance organization, preferred provider organization, point-of-service and Medicare Advantage plans can seek healthcare services with McLaren’s hospitals and physician hospital organizations throughout Michigan, according to a news release.

The relationship between Priority Health and McLaren is not new. More than two years ago, Priority Health and McLaren entered into an updated agreement that established McLaren’s Northern Michigan, Central Michigan, Karmanos, Oakland and Macomb hospitals as part of the Priority Health provider network, according to the release.
