The two parties will implement a performance-based reimbursement system beginning in 2017.
“We agreed to an even more collaborative relationship that will build on the value we create today and continue to improve care our members receive for years to come,” said BCBS of Georgia President Jeff Fusile in a prepared statement.
Under the contract, BCBS of Georgia members will continue to have access to all Piedmont Healthcare facilities and more than 1,400 Piedmont Clinic physicians.
