Members of the imaging informatics team at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore founded Analytical Informatics in 2011 to provide clinicians with business analytics and workflow tools. Philips officials plan to integrate these capabilities into PerformanceBridge, the company’s portfolio of operational and data-driven performance solutions for radiology.
“Integrating Analytical Informatics’ software tools and applications into our current offerings will enable us to accelerate the delivery of next-generation technology, software and services, to bring the power of operational intelligence and decision support to radiology,” said Sham Sokka, general manager of radiology solutions at Philips.
The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
