Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock, Pa., is merging with Mercy Health Partners as of Jan. 1, 2010, according to a report by WNEP News.
Tyler and Mercy Health began exploring a partnership in April, and both sides decided that a partnership would be a good fit, according to the report.
No details of the merger were released, but officials from both Tyler and Mercy Health said nothing would change at first and that both boards would focus on expanding staffing and facilities, according to the report.
