Patients at Wisconsin hospital are game show contestants

A dose of feel-good to kick off the weekend.
Patients at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-All Saints hospital on Spring Street in Racine, Wis., have the opportunity to be game show contestants, right in the privacy of their own room, according to The Journal Times.

Game shows are produced by volunteers in a makeshift television studio at the hospital and then broadcast to patient rooms. Patients and visitors may play the games, and could have the opportunity to win prizes, such as gift certificates for a car wash or a stuffed animal, according to the report.

Games include “Schwobble,” which is similar to “Wheel of Fortune,” and a bingo-style number game called “SMILE,” the report reads.

Cindy Clemens, director of volunteer and senior services with Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-All Saints, told The Journal Times the games provide a fun activity for patients and are diversions for visitors.
