Ohio Hospital Cuts 40 Jobs Due to Reorganization, Poor Economy

Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, Ohio, has cut 40 jobs across several departments as part of reorganization and in response to the rough economic climate, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

The cuts represent less than 2 percent of the jobs at the hospital.

In addition to these cuts, which have occurred over the past few months, the hospital has made other changes to the organization since the summer, including closing its Bariatric Wellness Center and ending a weight loss surgery program, according to the report
