Hospital management is proposing a plan that cuts $15 million from the hospital’s projected losses this year and would return the hospital to profitability in 2012, according to the story.

To do this, it is considering several options, among them partnering with community clinics to increase reimbursement for some outpatient subspecialty services; renegotiating contracts with payors; reducing its workforce; streamlining service lines; and seeking more state and federal funding.
