North Shore-LIJ Opens $300M Inpatient Tower

After more than three years of construction, North Shore-LIJ Health System has opened its new $300 million inpatient tower in New Hyde Park, N.Y.

The $300 million tower — featuring the Zuckerberg Pavilion and Katz Women’s Hospital — is scheduled to open to the public in January.

In addition to 162 private rooms, the tower’s Zuckerberg Pavilion includes 30 beds on each of its two floors, a pharmacy, a physical therapy gym and more. The Katz Women’s Hospital, spread over four floors, includes four operating rooms, 14 labor and delivery rooms, 12 gynecological surgical beds and more.
