New York’s New Island Hospital Changes Name to St. Joseph Hospital

New Island Hospital in Bethpage, N.Y., has changed its name to St. Joseph Hospital as part of its transition in becoming a member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, according to Newsday and the CHS website.

New Island Hospital, a 203-bed community hospital, joined CHS in January. It has 1,400 physicians and staff and was established in May 1999.
