25 highest rated private insurance plans by patient satisfaction score

The National Committee for Quality Assurance, a D.C.-based nonprofit, has released a system that compares health insurance plan ratings based on patient satisfaction, treatment and outcomes.

The system allows users to search insurance plans by state, plan name or type, and order their rankings based on combined HCAHPS, Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set measures and NCQA accreditation. Other ratings metrics include prevention, or how well a given plan provides screenings, immunizations and other preventive services, a plan’s performance in treating chronic and acute conditions, and members’ opinions of a plan’s services, care and physicians.

Here are the top 25 private plans with the highest satisfaction scores, based on the database:
