The new campus will eventually replace the hospital’s current Joliet, Ill., location. The hospital had been a “Joliet institution” for more than 100 years but is relocating in order to expand its facilities, according to the report.

The Silver Cross Health Center will include offices for Hinsdale Orthopaedics Associates, Partners in Obstetrics and Women’s Health, Advanced Eye Care, Spectrum Eye Institute and the Children’s Memorial Outpatient Center, according to the report.

An additional medical building is expected to open on the new campus in late 2011 and the replacement hospital is expected in 2012.
