As a result of the damage, the hospital lost access to all EMRs throughout the facility. Additionally, the medical office building does not have access to running water because the North Conway Fire Department shut off its water as a precaution.
The damage caused Memorial Hospital to cancel all elective surgeries scheduled today. However, emergency surgeries will still take place.
While the EHR system is down, staff will use a standard downtime operating procedure to ensure patient records are kept up to date.
The service areas affected by the flooding are being temporarily relocated to other places in the hospital.
