The health system said UnitedHealthcare did not renew its contract with Montefiore Health System.

“Once we became aware of this, we worked hard to alert our affected patients to make them aware of the situation,” Colleen Blye, executive vice president and CFO of Montefiore Health System, told Bronx Times.

Montefiore Health System is continuing negotiations with UnitedHealthcare regarding the payer’s commercial and Medicaid contracts, according to the report.
