The lawsuit names Brentwood, Tenn.-based Quorum Health Resources, which managed the hospital from 1992-2008, and its employees, former Natchez Regional CEO Jeffrey Wesselman and former CFO Michael Anderson.
The lawsuit alleges Quorum falsely portrayed the hospital’s financial situation to Natchez Regional’s board of trustees before the hospital filed for bankruptcy.
A Quorum spokeswoman said the company would not comment on pending litigation.
According to an earlier report, Natchez Regional expects to end its fiscal year with a profit for the first time in five years.
