One part of the plan calls for relocating inpatient and outpatient diagnostic lab services from the Muskegon General campus to 39,495 square feet of renovated space at the Mercy Campus. The renovated space would also be home to any future clinical services.

Closing inpatient and outpatient diagnostic lab services at the Muskegon General campus is expected to save the organizations $1.2 million alone in annual utilities and $10 million in necessary capital improvements, according to the report.
