Memorial Healthcare System in southern Broward County, Fla., more than doubled profits in its second quarter compared with the same period last year, according to a report by South Florida Business Journal.
Memorial Healthcare, which operates four public hospitals, earned $33.5 million on net revenue of $335.5 million in its second quarter, ending Oct. 31.
Occupancy declined to 60 percent in the quarter from 60.8 percent in the same period last year.
