Mayo Health System in Eau Claire, Wis. Eau Claire Hospital was originally founded as Luther Hospital in 1908. Today, the 304-bed hospital is part of the Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic Health System and boasts the only verified trauma center in northwest Wisconsin. Eau Claire Hospital is a 2015 iVantage HealthStrong Top Hospital and a three-time recipient of the Healthgrades’ Outstanding Patient Experience Award. U.S. News & World Report named the hospital the No. 6 hospital in Wisconsin in its 2014-15 rankings.
