Mary Ellen Clyne, PhD. President and CEO of Clara Maass Medical Center (Belleville, N.J.). As president and CEO of Clara Maass Medical Center, Dr. Clyne leads the $270 million, 469-bed hospital with more than 700 physicians and 2,300 employees. Under her leadership, a $23 million renovation project is underway — the first major on-campus expansion project in more than a decade. Previously, Dr. Clyne served the medical center as vice president of patient care services and COO. Seton Hall University College of Nursing in South Orange, N.J., where she earned her PhD, master’s in nursing and bachelor’s in nursing, recognized her with the 2016 Distinguished Alumnus Award.
