Magellan Q2 report: 4 things to know

Four things to know:

  1. Magellan reported net revenue of $1.22 billion for the second quarter ended June 30, an 11 percent increase from the same period last year.
  2. The company’s net income fell by $53.6 million from the second quarter of 2020 to a net loss of $6.5 million in the second quarter of 2021.
  3. The payer reported a segment profit of $32.3 million, a 43.3 percent decrease from 2020. 
  4. Magellan said it expects its merger with Centene to close during the second half of this year.
