LifePoint Hospitals Acquires Kentucky’s Clark Regional Medical Center

Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Hospitals is planning to acquire Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Ky., according to a report in Bloomberg BusinessWeek.

As part of the deal, LifePoint will spend $60 million to build a replacement hospital for Clark Regional, with the new building opening around two years after construction starts, according to the report. The deal is expected to close by April 30.
