Kentucky’s Western Baptist Hospital to Build New ORs in $12.3M Construction Project

Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky., will begin constructing new surgical suites at its heart center in December as part of a $12.3 million expansion project, according to a hospital news release.

The hospital plans to add four surgical suites by July 2012 and then renovate 11 existing surgery suites, add a new waiting room and renovate the outpatient surgery area. The new ORs will include a 1,333-square-foot hybrid operating suite.

The entire project is expected to be completed over 28 months.
