Kenneth Sands, MD. Senior Vice President of Healthcare Quality and Chief Quality Officer of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Boston). As senior vice president of healthcare quality and chief quality officer of BIDMC, Dr. Sands directs the Silverman Institute for Health Care Quality and Safety. He was a founding member of a curriculum on quality improvement that is now a core requirement for residents in the Harvard Medical School department of medicine, where he is an associate professor of medicine.
