Jim Skogsbergh. President and CEO of Advocate Health Care (Downers Grove, Ill.). Mr. Skogsbergh joined Advocate Health Care in 2001 as executive vice president and COO, and was appointed president and CEO in 2002. Prior to joining Advocate, Mr. Skogsbergh was the executive vice president of the Des Moines-based Iowa Health System, as well as the president and CEO of several Iowa hospitals. Mr. Skogsbergh is chairman-elect of the American Hospital Association board of trustees and is involved in World Business Chicago and Chicago United an organization that promotes multiracial leadership in business. Mr. Skogsbergh is also expected to serve as a co-CEO with Evanston, Ill.-based NorthShore University Health System CEO Mark Neaman of the organizations’ merged entity — Advocate NorthShore Health Partners — for two years before taking over as the primary CEO. In April, the Federal Trade Commission requested more time to review the details of the proposed merger.
