Three things to know:
1. One of the lawsuits, brought by Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative, is a class-action lawsuit. The judge’s ruling in favor of Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative applies to 91 insurers who are part of the lawsuit.
2. Other lawsuits a judge ruled in favor of were brought by the following health insurers: L.A. Health Care Plan, Maine Community Health Options and Community Health Choice.
3. Two other insurers — Montana Health CO-OP and Sanford Health Plan — already won lawsuits for unpaid cost-sharing reduction payments. Those cases were appealed to the Federal Circuit.
