The bill would, among other things:
- delay a 21.2 percent Medicare physician pay-cut from April 1 to May 1.
- extend a 65 percent federal subsidy for COBRA premiums through April 30.
- allow physicians in hospital-owned outpatient centers and clinics to qualify for health information technology incentives under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
The Senate already passed a bill that would delay the physician fee cut until Sept. 30 and extend the COBRA subsidy through Dec. 31, according to a report in Becker’s Orthopedic & Spine Review.
