Hospitals Look to Donors for Hybrid OR Funding

Many hospitals are looking to donors to fund hybrid ORs, which can cost from $1.5 million-$9 million, according to a Detroit Free Press report.

St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, for example, received a $5 million donation that paid for a hybrid OR with a robotics system. Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich., received an unspecified donation to help fund the hospital’s $8.5 million hybrid OR.
