Hospital of Central Connecticut and Hartford Hospital Move Toward Affiliation

The parent companies of the Hospital of Central Connecticut, based in Southington, Conn., and Hartford (Conn.) Hospital are exploring an affiliation, according to a report by the Bristol Press.

Central Connecticut Health Alliance and Hartford HealthCare have submitted a certificate of need application to the state for an affiliation. The affiliation is intended to improve and coordinate care, expand access and increase efficiencies, according to the report.
