Franciscan St. Margaret Health-Dyer Undergoes $10.2M Renovation

Franciscan St. Margaret Health-Dyer (Ind.) announced it is undergoing a renovation project that will expand the capabilities of its emergency, surgical and laboratory departments.

The project will add 3,500 square feet of space and a five-bed observation unit to the emergency department, as well as updates to the existing ED space.

Updates to the surgery department will include a new, 760-square-foot advanced surgical suite and a new preadmission testing space. Laboratory department improvements will aim at optimizing efficiencies to make processes faster.

The project is estimated to cost $10.2 million and is scheduled to be completed by 2014, according to a report by The Times of Northwest Indiana.
