According to the report, Harvey Yorke was forced to resign from the position in March, after the hospital announced it would have a deficit of $1.3 million, which then ballooned to $7.3 million by March 31. It is projected to reach $22 million by the end of the fiscal year in September.
Mr. Yorke, who had been CEO for 18 years, is also suing the hospital’s parent, Southwestern Vermont Health Care, and the state, which reportedly barred the hospital from making the payments to him.
